To perpetuate the portrait-unveiling ritual after an anomalous hiatus, Preisdent Biden will be lifting that veil of secrecy over Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama's portraits as the Obamas return for a visit.

Notably, former U.S. President George W. Bush and former first Lady Laura bush did get to unveil their presidential portraits back in 2012 when then President Obama was still in office.
But Trump never adhered to that tradition, so Biden is filling in to enrich that vast collection of official White House portraits, paid for by the White House Historial Association.
The Obamas' pilgrimage to the White House is slated for September 7th.
