President Xi Jinping today wrapped up the 20th CPC National Congress with a major cabinet shakeup expected.
Major Chinese Cabinet Reshuffle Expected
The congress elected a new CPC Central Committee.
As a surprise, Premier Li Keqiang was removed from the new cabinet, as were Shanghai party chief Han Zheng, party advisory body leader Wang Yang and longtime Xi ally Li Zhan-shu.
Still, the current Premier will remain in office for about six months before the new cabinet ministers are named.
Some new faces are expected to meet the press tomorrow.
