Internet Explorer retires

{O/C} Microsoft's Internet Explorer has finally been put out to pasture.

Its demise came after 27 years in service.

Microsoft had said last year it was pushing its users to the new Edge browser, which was launched back in 2015.

Tech enthusiasts have long referred to it as "bug-laden" or "the top browser for installing other browsers."

For the aged, it does evoke great memories from the bygone era.

Users glistened the first version of IE back in 1995.

While IE is joining the dustbin of computer history, Google Chrome is ballooning in popularity, comprising 65 percent of the worldwide browser market, for its development at breakneck speed.
