Scientists have confirmed the identity of a 17th century Dutch warship off the coast of England.
It was back in April 2019 when divers found the hull of the "Unknown Wreck", along with the ship's cannons and Italian pottery on the seabed 32 metres under the surface.
But it was the Italian marble that led to the confirmation.
That's because Klein Hollandia was carrying slabs of fine Italian marble when it sank in 1672.
In recent years, experts from both the U.K. and the Netherlands have been working to identify the vessel.
It was built in 1656 and owned by the Admiralty of Rotterdam.
It was involved in all major battles in the second Anglo-Dutch war.
It was so remarkable, that it was granted the highest level of protection in 2019, under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973.
