To New York where one of the late Princess Diana's favourite dresses is going under the hammer.
It's a purple velvet dress designed by Victor Edelstein.

Having been Diana's designer for ten years, Edelstein designed countless dresses for her.
Diana famously donned this favourite dress of hers in her 1997 Vanity Fair photo shoot.
It's expected to fetch between 80,000 to 120,000 U.S. dollars.
It's part of Sotheby's "The One" auction, which has brought together utterly unique items.
The auction will take place on January 27th.
