Yet unlike other singer-songwriters strutting their stuff, it was a tragic story behind the scenes. And her song "It's OK", represents that.
Jane Marczewski, better known for her moniker "Nightbirde", had been battling cancer for four straight years.
And on Monday, she tragically lost her battle.
In a statement, her family said they are dumbfounded owing to her passing and unimaginable loss.
{Soundbite} JANE "NIGHTBIRDE" MARCZEWSKI: I have been dealing with cancer. Last time I checked, I had some cancer in my lungs, my spine and my liver.
With her euphonious voice and optimism despite dispiriting setbacks, judge Simon Cowell was so impressed, he gave her that golden buzzer that won her a standing ovation.
While her aggravating health prevented her from competing in the 16th season of AGT, her ardent fans couldn't leave this spirited singer behind.

Despite cancer sounding the death knell for her, she continued to see the world through her own rose-colored glasses, thanking her fans for their love and support.

The legendary and irreplaceable singer succumbed to cancer at the age of 31 on Monday.
Condolences poured in as fans, family and even the judges commiserated with the bereaved and mourned such a huge loss.
America's Got Talent wrote, "Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family."
Knowing she literally took the world by storm, everone's grieving her tragic death.
She, albeit having departed this life, leaves behind an invaluable and unforgettable legacy.
But to her family, friend and fans, this is a wound that will never heal.
