{O/C} {And finally}
Building exotic skyscrapers are already tall orders, but what about building the world's skinniest skyscraper ever?
{RVO}
This is the slender 84-story residential Steinway Tower that towers above many others in Manhattan.
(More details below)
At 435 metres tall, the building is the second-tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere, right behind the nearby Central Park Tower at 470 metres tall.
Living at the top though may induce goosebumps given the opulent upper floors tend to swing around by a few feet whenever gusts strike.
But not to worry, it's wiry enough.
To prevent the tower from swaying too much, the architects created a counterbalance with pitched steel plates, along with a textured terra cotta comprising the facade that generates wind turbulence to rein in the acceleration.
The residential hall has just been completed, but the Steinway Hall below boasts a legacy spanning around a century.
