WH chief of staff Ron Klain expected to leave

{O/C}

There is word tonight that White House chief of staff, Ron Klain, who's a top aide to President Joe Biden, is leaving in the coming weeks.

This after Democrats performed unexpectedly well in last year's mid-term elections.

Klain sent an email to White House staff on Friday, apparently hinting at his departure.

The cabinet shakeup would be rare for the Biden administration, no members of which have stepped down.

That, compared with former President Donald Trump's cabinet, which saw frequent staff turmoil and othe crises.

Klain was appointed to head the Obama administration's response to Ebola, and later returned to the White House as part of Biden's COVID response team.

His departure also comes as the White House grapples with the fallout over Biden's classified documents probe.

Former White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zient is under consideration for his replacement, as are other worthy candidates.

The White House has declined to comment.
