This, as COVID infection rates are dwindling among migrants crossing the border from neighbouring Mexico for a chance to become U.S. citizens.
The restrictions aim to curb the virus' spread, and now there are questions as to whether migrants should still be expelled from the United States and denied a chance to request asylum.
While an aggregate tally is yet to be available, general test results have suggested it is well below concerning levels.
