Scandinavia to be free of COVID restrictions

{O/C} Over to Europe, where Scandinavia is expected to join the ranks of countries scrapping anti-virus rstrictions.

Meanwhile, Sweden is also reportedly joining Denmark and Norway in completely abandoning virus-related decrees.

Sweden's prime minister is slated to announce that all mandatory COVID regulations will be removed by February 9th.


However, the reality is, infections still remain high in that nation, which has been relying on relatively relaxed rules since the inception of the pandemic. But the decision came as the situation in hospitals are pretty stable.


This, as Sweden is joining Denmark and Norway, becoming the first EU countries to scrap most pandemic restrictions and stop considering COVID "a socially critical disease".


Denmark has seen more than 50,000 daily cases on average in recent weeks, but the head of the Danish Health Authority said he has instead been paying close attention to the number of people in ICUs, which he describes as "incredibly low."
