Minimum Wage Raise Expected
The Minimum Wage Commission has proposed raising the minimum statutory wage by 2.5 dollars, from 37.5 dollars to 40 dollars an hour by May next year.
The current rate was set back in 2019.
It was frozen last year given the pandemic-struck economy.
The recommendations will be submitted to the Executive Council for approval by the end of October.
