{O/C} The Department of Justice is alleging former President Trump's legal team deliberately muddied the waters regarding the classified documents at Mar-a-Lago in an effort to obstruct the FBI probe.

These top-secret or sensitive documents seized from Mar-a-Lago cement the Department of Justice's appalling allegation Trump's legal team intentionally misled investigators.
In a shocking court filing the DOJ claimed government records were likely concealed and even removed in an effort to obstruct the probe.
The department also said Trump's legal team lied they had returned all classified documents when the remnants remained scattered across Trump's 45 Office in Florida.
While the revelation does speak volumes, the Department of Justice has yet to prove whether Trump has committed any crimes.

ERIC TUCKER, Associated Press Reporter:
The document does not identify the individuals who are responsible for concealing records or moving boxes and it does not suggest that Donald Trump himself obstructed the investigation.

But whether to press obstruction charges is one grilling quandary, says this expert.

CHUCK ROSENBERG, Former U.S. Attorney:
They still have to have a very difficult discussion about what they ought to do. Not what they could do, but what they should do.

It's also unclear if Trump pushed his lawyers on what to disclose.
But Trump blared on Twitter today that not only is the FBI's probe "terrible", they also threw documents haphazardly on the floor.
Despite Trump having lied about the assiduous search his team conducted at Mar-a-Lago for any classified documents, some say he should not be charged.
Case in point, Hillary Clinton mishandled classified records on her private email server, yet never charged.
But given a lack of evidence suggesting Clinton did obstruct justice, experts say the two cases shouldn't be treated as equals.

That investigation of Ms. Clinton is over. And so we know the facts.
This investigation of Mr. Trump is ongoing, and so there's plenty of stuff we don't know.
{VO}
The Department of Justice is likely not to press charges until after the mid-term elections.
