When former President Donald Trump got entangled in that classified documents saga, President Joe Biden blasted him for being irresponsible.
But in an ironic twist today, Biden is taking the heat himself over classified records found at his old office.

JOE BIDEN, United States President:
People know I take classified documents and classified information seriously.
I was briefed about this discovery and surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office.

That from President Joe Biden who insists he's cooperating with authorities over the case.
Found inside inside a locked closet at the Penn Biden Centre the Obama-era documents were quickly turned over to the National Archives a week before the Mid-term election.
But the revelation only came out yesterday.
This, after the contentious raid of former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort last year where over 100 documents were taken away.
That's when Biden bashed his predecessor as "irresponsible."
However, this discovery was not part of a request from the Archives, and the documents were turned over immediately.
The Trump-appointed U.S. attorney in Chicago is now reviewing the case.
Still, the revelation could haunt Biden's administration because Republicans, including Trump, are crying foul.

JAMES COMER, (R-Kentucky) House Oversight Committee Chairman:
He (Biden) said it was very irresponsible of President Trump to take classified documents to his personal residence and have them in an unsecure location, and it appears he did the same thing.

STEVE SCALISE, (R-LA) House Majority Leader:
So if then-Vice President Biden took classified documents with him and held them for years, and criticised former President Trump during that same time that he had those classified documents, I wonder why the president isn't asking the same question of him?
