A vindicated U.S. President Joe Biden hailed Democrats' agressive gains in the mid-term elections while he also humbly vowed to work with Republicans.

And it was a good day, I think, for democracy. And I think it was a good day for America.

That's Biden touting Democrats' bold triumphs in the mid-term elections after a predicted "red wave" never appeared.
Now with Republicans closing in on control of the House, the President struck a humble tone, saying he is poised to collaborate with Republicans.

Regardless of what the final tally in these elections show, I'm prepared to work with my Republican colleagues.

But the GOP's promise of investigating his administration after nabbing control of Congress was merely a joke, insists President Joe Biden.
{Soundbite}
But it was reported many time that Republicans were saying, and the former president said, "How many times are you going to impeach Biden?"
I think the American people will look at all of that for what it is. It's just almost comedy.

The White House says Biden has called potential Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
But Biden also says the GOP ambitions call into question whether Americans are truly thirsting for changes like revisiting Social Security and Medicare benefits.
Still, the election results mark a spectacular display of resilience given voters have grown weary of inflation and crime.
Control of Congress will serve as a referendum on the Biden administration's handling of wicked inflation as well as the direction of the country.
While both Democrats and Republicans are emerging victorious in various states, experts say control of Congress remains hanging in the balance.

At this point, we're not sure exactly who's going to be in control of Congress, either the House or the Senate.
There're a lot of races where counting is close and we haven't been able to determine exactly which party is going to have the leg-up in either chamber.
