The meeting comes as faltering mettle at home and abroad threatens to jeopardise the powerful global response to the pandemic.
While vacciation rates have bottomed out, Biden maintains COVID-19 must continue to be put on the front burner.
According to the State Department, the United States has delivered nearly 540 million vaccine doses to over 110 countries and regions, more than any other nations contributing to the delivery of aid.
But the rub is, a lack of logistical support to administer the doses is impeding progress.
