Biden speaks out on classified documents probe

{O/C}

Pressure, pressure, pressure.

This as U.S. President Joe Biden set the record straight on his classified documents probe after the media hounded him with a barrage of inquiries.

He insists the documents have been handed over and that he's cooperating fully with the investigation.

{Soundbite}

JOE BIDEN, U.S. President:

We found a handful of documents that were filed in the wrong place.

We immediately turned them over to the Archives and the Justice Department.

We're fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly.

I think you're going to find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets.

I'm following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It's exactly what we’re doing. There is no there there.

Still, the White House is sidestepping questions as to why the revelation was revealed only two months after the discovery.

Meantime, the president toured the California beach town of Capitola today after deadly storms wreaked utter devastation across the region and killed over 20 people.

From late December to January 17th this year, the storms dumped 11 inches of rain and snow across the state.

The storms have weakened in recent days.
