Obama tweeted, saying he has been having a scratchy throat lately, but he's feeling fine otherwise. He added both he and his wife are grateful to be fully vaccinated and boosted.
Speaking of vaccines, he called on Americans to get inoculated as the vaccination rate appears to be bottoming out.
There were approximately 35,000 infections on average over the past week, a stark decline from mid-January, when the average number was around 800,000 at that time.
Data from the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention suggests 75.2 percent of American adults are fully vaccinated, 47.7 percent of whom have gotten a booster.
The CDC relaxed its guidelines for indoor masking late last month, citing the downward trend of infections, benefiting the vast majority of Americans.
