{O/C} Nathan Taverniti, a twenty-four-year-old Australian witness to last Saturday's deadly Itaewon stampede and lost a friend, spoke out today.
He said it all boiled down to government mismanagement.
He also blasted stores along the narrow alleyway for not letting crowds in when people were literally piling up.

I 100 percent believe that this incident is a result of the government's mismanagement and the lack of ability because I have known that Halloween event has always been this big in Itaewon. This is not a special night where there were too many people.
There was a club on this alleyway and I was yelling at them, saying, "you have to let people go inside. People are going to die." And the club, people said, did this action to me (crosses arms). They said we can't let people in here.
If the right measures are in place, things like this don't happen. It's because of how it was handled.
