In New Zealand, 6 shoppers were stabbed and wounded in a supermarket in what New Zealand's Prime Minister described as a terror attack.
The assailant, considered a lone wolf, was killed by New Zealand authorities.

The attack unfolded at around 2:40 p.m. there at a Countdown supermarket in New Zealand's largest city of Auckland. The assailant stabbed and wounded 6 innocent shoppers inside.
One bystander video captured the sound of 10 shots being fired in rapid succession as the police shot the perpetrator of that attack to death.
The police are now looking into what prompted the assailant, identified as a Sri Lankan national inspired by the Islamic Group militant group, to commit that barbaric crime.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described the incident as a violent attack, and said, by law, the man was not allowed to be kept in prison.
Jacinda Ardern: This was a violent attack. It was senseless. And I am so sorry it happened.
The individual was under constant monitoring. And it was the police surveillance team and special tactics group who were part of that monitoring and surveillance that shot and killed him within, I'm told, the space of roughly 60 seconds of the attack's starting.
What happened today was despicable. It was hateful, it was wrong.
