A train collision involving two express trains in southern Pakistan left at least 35 dead and dozens injured.
Around 15 to 20 passengers are still trapped in the wreckage of the Millat Express train there. Authorities were trying to arrange heavy machinery to rescue those who are crying for help.
The Express train derailed and the Sir Syed Express train hit it soon afterwards.
The causes of the derailment and the subsequent collision were not immediately clear.
According to railway officials, about 1,100 passengers were on board the two ill-fated trains.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister expressed his deep sorrow over the tragedy. In a tweet, he said he had already asked the railway minister to supervise the rescue work and also ordered a probe into the crash.
