In the U.S., adolescents aged 12 or above will be eligible for a Pfizer shot soon, as U.S. regulators expanded the use of the Pfizer vaccine to children aged 12 or above on Monday.
Shots will start to be administered to children as young as 12. This is expected to offer a way to protect the nation’s adolescents, most of whom have yet to receive a COVID shot.
The FDA in the U.S. declared that the Pfizer vaccine is safe for youngsters and offers strong protection.
President Joe Biden said the decision to administer COVID shots to more youngsters will help the nation restore normalcy.
