Tech entrepreneur charged with killing Cash App founder

A tech consultant has been arrested in the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee in San Francisco.



The pre-dawn murder happened at around 2:30 a.m. on April 4, when 38-year-old Nima Momeni stabbed Lee multiple times.


Surveillance video captured Lee trying to ask for help before police found him with stab wounds in the Rincon Hill neighbourhood.


Investigators say Momeni and Lee knew each other.


Momeni was taken into custody in Emeryville, a San Francisco suburb, and is now charged with murder.


Describing himself as an IT Entrepreneur Momeni is the owner of a company called Expand IT.


The stabbing death of Lee, a tech titan, sent shockwaves through the tech industry, with friends and colleagues grieving his demise.


A probe is under way to determine the motive.
