Shooting outside a New York high school

{O/C} Authorities in New York are on the lookout for a suspect after a stabbing and shooting outside a Buffalo high school.

Multiple investigators have pitched in to search for the suspect and get to the bottom of what indeed happened after a student was reportedly stabbed, with a security guard outside a high school in Buffalo shot.

Buffalo's mayor said the student had been stabbed multiple times are the security guard had been shot in the leg.

The security guard reportedly sustained injuries that aren't life-threatening, and is listed in stable condition.

The incident allegedly happened after some people got into a dispute on the sidewalk just outside McKinley High School. Classes had been dismissed 20 minutes prior to the stabbing and shooting, but about 100 students were reportedly staying in there for after-school activities when the incident happened.

The surrounded neighbourhood and the school were evacuated, but authorities believe that incident does not pose a threat to nearby residents.
