Shooting in Tel Aviv kills at least two

{O/C} {In other news} Israel is still reeling from a shooting in central Tel Aviv last night after the perpetrator opened fire into a packed bar, killing at least two people and wounding several others.

The attack went down last night at around 9 p.m. local time on a central thoroughfare where attacks are somehow frequent.

Dozens were so terrified, they fled through the streets as police ordered that people stay indoors.

Two people in their late 20s from a town north of Tel Aviv were killed.

A major crossing near the assailant's hometown was cordoned off to round up the perpetrator and his possible accomplices. The suspect, who was a 28-year-old Palestinian, was discovered to have been hiding near a mosque in southern Tel Aviv, and was killed in a shootout. He was not linked to any organised militant group but had allegedly entered Israel illegally.

It was the fourth deadly assault in Israel in less than three weeks amid heightened tensions between Israel and Palestine and the beginning of the Israeli weekend in the popular nightlife area.

Yet again, Hamas praised the attack but didn't claim responsibility.
