Diana’s three siblings also joined the private ceremony at London’s Kensington Palace, where the princess once found solace.
It was the second time Princes Harry and William appeared together after Harry stepped aside from royal duties over a year ago.
The statue, which shows a larger-than-life Diana, was surrounded by her three siblings. The style of her dress is meant to evoke the final period of her life, in which she gained confidence again in her humanitarian work.
The private ceremony is believed to be aimed at cementing the two princes’ late mother’s place in royal history on what would have been her 60th birthday.
