Political shift apparent in America

{O/C} Turning to news in America, the Associated Press' voter registration data analysis has revealed a materialising shift in the political landscape there.

Nowhere is the shift more manifest than in the suburbs, where well-educated and undecided voters who used to cast aside Trump's notions appear to be backing the Republicans.

What's more pronounced, more than a million voters across 43 U.S. states have switched to Republican over the past year.

This could wreak havoc on the Democrats' campaign and hold on power as the mid-term election approaches.

Many residents admitted to reluctantly becoming Republicans, chalking their dissatisfaction with the current Democratic administration up to its inability to quell deadly mass shootings and the pandemic once and for all.
