But it was pop, country, adult contemporary and dance charts such as "Physical" and "You're the One That I Want" that propelled her to international stardom.
From 1973 to 1983, she was among the world's most popular entertainers.
She even nabbed four Grammys with her singles that melted everyone's heart.
But her punishing breast cancer diagnosis back in 1992 dented her career.
Cancer made a fierce comeback in 2017, forcing her to cancel her concerts.
Her on-screen partner, Travolta, wrote a beautiful tribute online, "Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!"
A remarkable legacy that will stand the test of time in perpetuity.
