Since the U.S.’ nationwide vaccination programme was launched earlier this year, more and more Americans have got vaccinated against COVID. Now, the number of Americans fully vaccination has reached 100 million.
This comes after data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests 39 percent of the nation’s adult population have been fully vaccinated, and that over 55 percent of American adults have received at least one dose, up from 30 percent last month.
The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, asked Americans to make sure they get the second dose.
He also noted that if America needs to achieve herd immunity, then around 70 percent to 85 percent of the nation’s population need to be fully vaccinated against COVID.
Meanwhile, in California, Disneyland reopened on Friday and it again welcomed tons of tourists as the number of Americans fully vaccinated against COVID reached 100 million.
