This, amid paused diplomacy with the U.S. and pandemic border closures.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North likely fired two short-range ballistic missiles from an area near Pyongyang's international airport.
The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said the missiles did not pose an immediate threat to U.S. personnel or territory, but warned of debilitating impact of the North's illicit weapons program.
Japan's Defence Minister, meanwhile, condemned the 4th launch this month as threats to peace and stability.
North Korea has been amping up its military capabilities by conducting a battery of tests involving nuclear-capable missiles.
