The Tara Air turboprop lost contact with the airport tower yesterday while en route to Jomsom airport.
Passengers included four Indians and two Germans. The three crew members and others were Nepalis.
Air routes across Nepal are notorious for being finicky thanks to the country's rugged terrain.
