There was another unprovoked attack on an Asian American. A 94-year-old Asian woman was seriously injured on Wednesday night after a man allegedly stabbed her. The man was arrested hours after that attack.

The man who attacked him reportedly asked the woman for cigarettes, but the woman refused to do so.
Officers responded to a report about a stabbing case in the U.S. city of San Francisco. Medical aid was rendered while medics arrived at the site.
The victim of that attack was taken to a local hospital, where she received treatment and is expected to survive. The woman suffered serious injuries to her right ear.
Detectives found a knife near the crime scene and obtained a photo of the man.
Two hours after the horrific attack, the suspect, Daniel Cauich, was arrested. He is reported to have a long criminal history. He now faces charges including attempted homicide, elder abuse and committing felony while on bail.
Investigators are trying to get to the bottom of the incident as they are trying to determine if race was a motivating factor in the attack.
The attack comes amid a wave of assaults against Asian Americans across the country since the coronavirus pandemic took hold in the U.S.
