Light rail train collision in Malaysia yesterday left at least 200 people injured. After an initial investigation, police suspected a miscommunication from the trains’ operation control centre led to the accident.
Two light rail trains collided in a tunnel, injuring more than 200 people.
It was the first major crash for the 23-year-old metro system.
Pictures of bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the carriage strewn with blood and shattered glass went viral online.
The crash affected one of the three light rail lines connecting Kuala Lumpur and surrounding suburbs.
A full investigation into the cause of the accident will begin.
