The trial of the three white men charged with murdering Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia on February 23, 2020 is no longer a tabula rasa, as what could be a long and laborious effort to find jurors to hear the trial of the aforementioned trio is slated to begin.

Thus far, the court hasn't had any luck in the search of jurors.

Court officials in Glynn county, where the 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was shot to death, mailed jury-duty notices to 1,000 people, as having a jury ready is of the essence at this juncture.

Be that as it may, there is word the court will have to wait till the cows come home.

Prior to the selection process, Superior Court Judge, Timothy Walmsley, first planned to hold a morning hearing to discuss everything at issue that must be resolved first.

Meantime, a slew of people who were expressive of their support for an unbiased and fair trial took to the streets in Brunswick, Georgia, ahead of the murder trial starting tomorrow. Among the demonstrators was Karla Arbery, Ahmaud Arbery's aunt, who said on no account should America acquiesce to kicking the can down the road and letting racism problems persist.

Karla Arbery: We don't want anyone to ever forget about Ahmaud because his death made plenty and a lot of changes around the world.

A jury of 12, plus four alternates will be seated.

Charged with felony murder, the trio is also considered with malice aforethought, since the police found no evidence whatsoever that suggests Arbery committed a crime before his murder.

The notorious incident transpired on February 23, 2020, when father and son Greg and Travis McMichael and their neighbour William Bryan slew Arbery as he was jogging near Brunswick.

Such a barbarous act stoked a national outcry and whipped up anti-racism beliefs across the United States, as people strive to prevent America becoming a breeding ground for racists.
