Days of heavy rainfall have pelted Rohingya refugee camps in southern Bangladesh, destroying houses and rendering thousands of people there homeless.

This comes as more than 30 centimetres of rain caused floods in the region.
The U.N. refugee agency said at least 6 Rohingya have died, 5 of whom was killed by a muddy deluge. A child was swept away by floodwaters.
More than 5,000 refugees have been temporarily relocated to other family members' shelters or emergency shelters.
Rohingya in Bangladesh are no stranger to cyclones, catastrophic floods and landslides, as natural hazards are considered an annual difficulty in the camps.
