A mudslide ripped through a Japanese seaside resort town, leaving at least 3 people dead and dozens missing.

80 people were still unaccounted for, according to a Shizuoka prefectural disaster management official.


At least 3 people have reportedly been killed when a muddy deluge ripped through a seaside resort town.


The incident happened as authorities prepare for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.


Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga told reporters that rescue workers are doing their utmost to rescue those who may be entombed in the debris.
