Turning to the United States. The largest wildfire in the U.S. made more lands bone dry in Oregon on Sunday, as one of the major conflagrations across the U.S. West coast continues to grow.

Dubbed the Bootleg Fire, the blaze, just north of the California border grew to a size of more than 1,210 square kilometers, an area about the size of Los Angeles.
As firefighters are working day and night to contain the blaze, nothing can stop the erratic winds from providing the conflagration with more opportunities to spread.
The blaze now not only threatens the area's water supply, it also prompted authorities to evacuate some 2,000 residents living near lakes and forests.
There were about 70 active large fires in the U.S., at least 16 of which were burning in the Pacific Northwest.
