The 39-year-old co-leader of a Michigan governor kidnapping plot was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Adam Fox returned to federal court four months after he and Barry Croft Jr. were slapped with conspiracy charges.
The judge said Croft offered bomb-making techniques while Fox served as the driving force in the plot.
His 16-year jail term is the longest of anyone convicted in the wild plot that involved abducting Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and blowing up a bridge to flee.
The U.S. government had called for life in prison, but the judge insisted that was unnecessary to deter similar acts in the future.
