{O/C} {To another developing story of the day} A Chinese Boeing 737 aircraft carrying 133 people crashed in the southern province of Guangxi.
State media CCTV reported that a mountain fire was caused in consequence.

With 123 passengers and nine crew members on board, the China Eastern airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft was due to land in Guangzhou at 3:05 pm.
It was en route to that city when the plane stopped transmitting data and nose-dived, causing a mountain fire. It lost contact with air traffic controllers at 2:15 p.m., and the crash was reported at around 2:30 p.m.
The fate of the 132 aboard remains unclear.
The flight that met its demise appeared to be Flight No. MU5735 leaving Kunming for Guangzhou.
Boeing has yet to comment on the incident.
The 6-year-old aircraft was delivered to China Eastern back in June 2015.
The Max version of Boeing 737 was grounded worldwide back in 2019 after two fatal crashes that killed 346 in all.
China's last deadly crash of a civilian jetliner was in 2010.
