An American warship again sailed through the Taiwan Strait for the second time in a month, prompting another warning from Beijing.

The U.S. Navy said a missile destroyer conducted a “routine Taiwan Strait transit” on Tuesday, demonstrating the United States’ commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
This prompted an accusation from Beijing. The People’s Liberation Army’s Eastern Theater Command said the U.S. is intentionally playing the same old tricks and creating trouble and disrupting things in the Taiwan Strait. Beijing said China is against the U.S.’ move, and warned that the U.S. should play by the rules.
The latest mission is considered a threat to the region’s peace and stability. It came around a week after Taiwan said 28 Chinese air force aircraft entered Taiwan’s defence identification zone.
The U.S. Navy has been conducting such operations in the Taiwan Strait around every month.
