Canada today has lifted its prohibition on Americans visiting Canada.

However, U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents must be fully vaccinated and tested negative for COVID-19 within three days to get across the border.
In addition to that, travellers must also fill out a detailed application on the arriveCAN app before entering the country.
The Canada Border Services Agency didn't say how many people are expected to enter Canada for the reopening, but it warned that travellers should plan for the possibility of additional processing time at the border.
The U.S. had earlier said it will extend closure to all Canadians making nonessential trips until at least August 21, which also applies to the Mexican border. But the Biden administration is reportedly making plans for a phased reopening. The main requirement would still be that all visitors have to be fully inoculated against the virus.
