Alabama church shooting leaves two dead

{O/C} A lone-wolf shooter fired inside a suburban Alabama church yesterday evening, slaying two and wounding another at a small group meeting.

The perpetrator has been detained.

It was around 6:20 local time last night when the attack erupted at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in the Birmingham suburb, Vestavia Hills.

The suspect had been detailed before the police declared the surrounding area safe.

Thursday's shooting followed a Taiwanese church attack in Southern California that killed one and injured five parishioners last month.

The area is still barricaded subsequent to the attack.

Investigators are still burrowing through the scene as mourners disdained the concatenation of shootings that appear to have consumed America.
