In Russia, a gas explosion ripped through an apartment building in the south-central city of Novosibirsk on Thursday morning, killing at least five people.
A 2-year-old child was among the victims.
The regional governor says 9 people had been taken to the hospital, with two in intensive care.
Ten people, including two children, remain unaccounted for.
The blast erupted at 7:43 in the morning.
It caused two entrances to the five-storey building to collapse, with 30 apartments destroyed by the ensuing blaze.
Preliminary investigation suggests the explosion was caused by a gas leak.
