$420M earmarked for US rural water projects

{O/C} The U.S. Interior Department has set aside 420 million U.S. dollars for projects in six states aimed at ensuring stable water supply in the face of climate change.

The projects will be conducted in New Mexico, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.

This, as the U.S. is faced with the prospect of exacerbating drought conditions on the West Coast due to climate change.

Ever soil moisture levels are set to plummet in several states.

Native American tribes have been on the receiving end of these issues, and they are finally getting federal money after these issues were put on the back burner over the past few years.

The projects aim to bring clean and reliable drinking water to rural communities to combat climate change.
